Ryan Cassata shares powerful new single ‘i feel like throwing up’ ahead of upcoming album

Ryan Cassata returns with ‘i feel like throwing up’, a raw and emotionally charged single from his forthcoming album Greetings from Echo Park, out June 6, 2025 via Kill Rock Stars. Co-produced and performed with Mark Pelli of MAGIC!, the track blends haunting vulnerability with stripped-down sonic intensity.

Written during a severe flare of Lyme disease and autoimmune complications, the song captures the deep isolation Cassata faced while undergoing daily treatments. But its meaning reaches beyond personal pain. “‘i feel like throwing up’ is also about the broader feeling of being unseen,” Cassata explains. “It resonates with the experience of being trans in America right now—especially in a political climate that’s increasingly hostile to our existence.”

With its stark honesty and aching urgency, the track stands as both a personal catharsis and a searing social statement. Greetings from Echo Park promises more of the same unflinching brilliance.
