Sailor Honeymoon preview debut EP with ‘PMS Police’
After the rapturous response to their initial offerings ‘Cockroach’ and ‘Bad Apple’ in recent months, South Korean outfit Sailor Honeymoon continue their vibrant ascent with the stunning new single ‘PMS Police’.
Lifted from their forthcoming self-titled debut EP, which is out on the 30th April, ‘PMS Police’ channels more of that driven post-punk aesthetic they are quickly earning a reputation for. With its killer grooves, breezy atmosphere, and catchy chorus to boot, they are certainly ones to keep a firm eye on for the months ahead.
Adding about the new track, the band’s Abi Raymaker said, “PMS Police is a song that came out of a jam we were having. It’s a bit of a satire about the way people sometimes freak out over a PMSing woman, featuring the Korean boyfriend who doesn’t understand why his girlfriend is suddenly moody. The chorus “정신 차려“ basically means “get your shit together”.”
