Self Torque share thunderous new single ‘Wicker Incident’ ahead of debut album

Brighton indie-punk trio Self Torque have dropped a new single, the punchy and reflective ‘Wicker Incident’, the opening track from their hotly anticipated debut album A Brutal Nadir.

Described by frontman Gabriel MacKenzie as “short, fast, angry and poppy,” the track blends Ramones-style chug with flashes of Californian surf-punk, setting the tone for a record rooted in self-reflection and emotional recalibration.

Released alongside a stark, one-take monochrome visualiser by Sam Luck, ‘Wicker Incident’ picks up where 2023’s No Rest For The Depressed EP left off, and pushes things even further.
