Sister Envy unveil their most immediate track yet with ‘Swallowed By The Ground’
North Wales alternative-psychedelic rock outfit Sister Envy return with their third single ‘Swallowed By The Ground’. Marking their most immediate and exhilarating offering to date, the track delivers a soaring, space-rock soundscape—an awe-inspiring fusion of chiming guitars, pulsing basslines, and relentless, cycling drums.
Led by Kameron Jolliffe’s commanding vocals, ‘Swallowed By The Ground’ unpacks the unraveling of a relationship, igniting into an unforgettable, sky-scraping chorus. The track calls to mind early Verve, My Vitriol, and the epic gaze of Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana, yet Sister Envy is carving their own distinct space in the modern rock landscape.
Kameron Jolliffe shares insight into the track’s creation: “I had the main riff lying around for a while and didn’t really touch it, though I really liked it. We started jamming it in a rehearsal, and the song pretty much wrote itself. It quickly became one of our favourite songs to play together.”
