Slightlykilld share brooding new single ‘Rotation’
Alt-rock duo Slightlykilld return with ‘Rotation’. Produced by Ian Davenport (Slowdive, Band of Skulls), the track explores the emotional inertia of cycles we cling to, even when they keep us stuck.
Built around taut guitars and intimate, near-whispered vocals, ‘Rotation’ mirrors its namesake: circling through melancholy before reaching a quiet, uneasy clarity. “Gravity keeps me close to you, and now it’s getting worse,” sings Polina Morgun, capturing the tension between comfort and escape.
Now based in London, Slightlykilld began life as a four-piece in Russia before Morgun and Kirill Bogdanov rebuilt the band as a duo. ‘Rotation’ is the first track recorded in this new form, a fitting soundtrack for breaking old patterns and stepping into something uncertain but real.
