Sofia Härdig returns with bold new single ‘Kingdom Come’

Swedish-born multi-instrumentalist and producer Sofia Härdig marks her long-awaited return with the release of ‘Kingdom Come’, her first single in nearly five years. The track sets the stage for a series of releases leading up to her forthcoming 2025 album ‘Lighthouse of Glass’, promising a fearless exploration of musical boundaries.

Produced by Härdig and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Nille Perned, ‘Kingdom Come’ merges soft-rock melodies with post-punk intensity. Anchored by evocative piano and Härdig’s haunting vocals, the track captures her experimental essence—a soundscape that channels the spirit of Patti Smith while redefining genre conventions.

“This was one of the first songs I recorded with trombone and strings,” Härdig shares. “I knew right away I wanted Viktor [Brobacke] and Sara [Edin] on the whole album. Viktor is like a whole brass ensemble on wheels, and Sara is a voice through strings. This song is part of a longer lyrical work, almost like a novel.”
