Soraia return with expansive new single ‘Queens and Pharaohs’

Philadelphia rock quartet Soraia have unveiled their new single ‘Queens and Pharaohs’, marking a bold step forward in both sound and scope.

The track was recorded in Sweden with renowned producer Tomas Skogsberg, a move that came at a pivotal moment for the band. After navigating creative pressure and external noise, the sessions offered a reset, shaping a release that feels revitalised and more ambitious.

‘Queens and Pharaohs’ builds with intent, shifting from tightly wound verses into explosive, full-bodied choruses. Driven by pounding drums, gritty hooks and a standout guitar solo, the track also incorporates a Middle Eastern melodic influence, nodding to frontwoman ZouZou Mansour’s Egyptian heritage.

Lyrically, the song centres on self-worth and emotional clarity, capturing a refusal to compromise and a desire for something more meaningful. It’s a statement of growth, both personal and artistic.
