Soulfly Songs Ranked
Soulfly is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1997. Soulfly is led by former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera, who formed the band after he left the Brazilian group in 1996. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, one tour EP, twenty-three singles, one video album, and twelve music videos. Their debut album, Soulfly, was released on April 21, 1998, while their most recent album, Ritual, was released on October 19, 2018. All of their first six studio albums debuted on the United States Billboard 200, with a peak position at number 32 for their second album, Primitive. Soulfly has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The band has gone through numerous line-up changes. Cavalera has been the only constant member while guitarist Marc Rizzo has however appeared on all but their first three albums. Here are all of Soulfly’s songs ranked.

10. Jumpdaf***up (Primitive, 2000)
“Absolutely the best! I love the addition of Corey Taylor’s voice to the song it gives it a nice aggressive but chill atmosphere before Max slays the Chorus”
9. Soulfly (Soulfly, 1998)
“Soulfly is an American heavy metal band formed in 1997 and based in Phoenix, Arizona. The original lyrical content revolved around spirituality, political and religious themes, with later albums encompassing other themes including war, violence, aggression, slavery, hatred and anger.”
8. Archangel (Archangel, 2015)
“Archangel” is absolute perfection, with a killer main riff, neat time changes, and a bludgeoning chorus, all of these accompanied by atmospheric leads and soloing from (none other than) Marc Rizzo.”
7. Bleed (Soulfly, 1998)
“Some of the simplest riffs were in this album..but Max made them sound more than they were. Love the whole tribal/thrash thing going. A very good album to invest in..”

6. Treachery (Enslaved, 2012)
“It is fast paced speedy Thrash with a touch of Death Metal. It has a great interlude in the middle that is pure evil. Enslaved is more “modern death metal” than it is thrash or groove metal, although there is certainly a “groove metal” sound permeating the album. It may have taken a decade & a half, but the old Max Cavalera is back.”
5. Defeat U (Prophecy, 2004)
“Max is a very religious man and Prophecy is an expression of his faith as you can tell by the album title and some song titles, a lot of metal fans may be turned off by this but it for this reason that Prophecy is such a good album.”
4. Paranoia (Conquer, 2008)
“A good album, I think Cavalera’s approaching to his roots. After a nu-metal era, now is back to his primeval trashy and deathly metal. It really kicks ass.”

3. Eye for an Eye (Soulfly, 1998)
“Eye For An Eye” with which he swears revenge on the murderers of his stepson, Max does not stop spitting his anger in a musical form as heavy as it is innovative.”
2. Prophecy (Prophecy, 2004)
“Simply one of the best song Soulfy ever made. Even if the music is simple but efficient and still with the tribal stuff that I always liked, amount of lyrics is pretty good compared to be composed only of the chorus.”
1. Inner Spirit (Dark Ages, 2005)
“This song is one of the best songs ever. It is just controversial and in the same time so fitting together. This album will smash your stereo, a must have for old-school-Sepultura’s fans, if you prefer the Primitive era Soulfly’s, this album’s not for you..”
