Switchdown return with riff-heavy alt-rock single ‘Get Out’
Midlands alt-rock trio Switchdown crash back onto the scene with their electrifying new single ‘Get Out’, a furious and riff-driven anthem born from the claustrophobia of lost independence. Written in the aftermath of returning home post-university and enduring the lockdown years, the track explores the emotional weight of shrinking space; literally and metaphorically.
Produced by Jamie Ward (Maybeshewill), ‘Get Out’ has been years in the making, drawing sonic inspiration from the likes of Dinosaur Pile-Up and Mouth Culture. The release channels Switchdown’s signature high-energy style with pounding drums, gritty riffs, and a raw vocal urgency.
After a two-year hiatus, the band are back with their signature humour, hard-hitting sound, and punk-hearted ethos, proving that even slowgress is progress.
