The Agency… deliver stirring new single ‘We Fell to the Floor’
Newcastle-based collective The Agency… return with a powerful new release ‘We Fell to the Floor’. Known for their brooding blend of folk noir, gothic rock, and cinematic post-rock, the group unveil their first track since 2024’s ‘Harbour Song’, and one that has already become a live favourite.
Initially conceived as a tale of love amid crisis, the song has evolved into something far broader. Narrated by frontman Steven K Driver’s signature baritone and elevated by guest vocalists Rosa Thomas and Elise Shields of The Samphires, the song crescendos into a burst of mariachi brass, a cathartic moment of solidarity and shared release.
The single precedes a special hometown performance at Star and Shadow Cinema on Saturday 8th March, featuring an eclectic lineup including Richard Dawson, Martin McAloon (Prefab Sprout), and more. All proceeds from the track will go toward supporting Rosa Thomas’ recovery following a haemorrhagic stroke in 2025.
