The Dahmers unveil final single ‘In the Dark’ ahead of new album ‘Creature Feature’
Swedish horror-rock outfit The Dahmers return with ‘In the Dark’, the third and final single from their upcoming album Creature Feature, set for release on February 13 via Eerie Sounds (distributed by Aloaded).
Trading in their signature punk urgency for something more brooding and atmospheric, ‘In the Dark’ marks a haunting evolution in The Dahmers’ sonic world. Built on fuzzy guitars, shadowy synths, and melancholic melodies, the track leans into the psychedelic mysticism of Roky Erickson and the slow-burning intensity of The Black Angels, all laced with the macabre theatricality of Grave Pleasures.
Lyrically, the single delves into isolation, sorrow, and the allure of the unknown, embracing the darkness rather than resisting it. It’s a bold pivot from the band’s previous singles, the riotous ‘Nightmare of ’78’ and swaggering ‘River City Skyline’, signalling that Creature Feature will be The Dahmers’ most cinematic and emotionally layered work yet.
