The Nasty Neighbours break the curse with chaotic new single ‘Walicho’

Bad luck never sounded so good. The Nasty Neighbours return with ‘Walicho’, a raucous, hyper-catchy single made for those days when everything seems cursed—and maybe it is.

Drawing from Argentine folklore, ‘Walicho’ refers to a Gualicho: a malevolent spell blamed for all kinds of misfortune. In the track, frontwoman Karina Kaos spirals through a series of mishaps and misadventures, convinced someone’s hexed her. Instead of self-reflection, it’s a full-blown, danceable exorcism—fuelled by punked-out guitars, sharp wit, and a hook you can’t escape.

Pulled from their upcoming album ‘Horrorísimo!!’ (out May 16), ‘Walicho’ is part pop-punk tantrum, part indie-rock incantation, and all attitude. The result? A soundtrack for shaking off the bad vibes, even if they’re supernatural.
