The Subway Ghosts drop gritty NYC anthem ‘Trash & Vaudeville’

New York City’s The Subway Ghosts return with ‘Trash & Vaudeville’, a raucous, no-frills love letter to the city’s rock ’n’ roll underbelly. Fueled by grit, swagger, and a punk heart, the track pays homage to the late Jimmy Webb, legendary stylist and soul of the iconic St. Marks shop.

The band lifts the chorus straight from Webb’s own words to The New York Times: “It’s here because of truth and spirit… like Iggy Pop giving it his best every night and going all the way until everything in your body is broken except your soul and rock ’n’ roll.”

The result? A raw downtown anthem steeped in sweat, denim, and downtown mythology, the kind of song that could only come from a real NYC rock band.
