Tidal Water return with their explosive new single ‘Defiance’

Over these last few months, Norwegian newcomers Tidal Water have been quick to establish themselves as one of the more innovative names on the rise right now. Creating this heady mix of hard and anthemic textures with a more explorative approach to instrumentation has given this wildly distinctive direction that truly stands out from the crowd. And after the rapturous response to their initial offerings ‘Imperfection’ and ‘Corrupted’, they are back once again with their third single ‘Defiance’.

Continuing that broad and adventurous spirit they have been honing recently, ‘Defiance’ makes for an incredibly bold and explosive listen. Channelling a raw and driven alt-rock aesthetic, blending in the occasional prog-rock influence to boot, their newest endeavour has this incredibly free-spirited feel to it, something that the band have been keen to earn a solid reputation for with their releases until now.

It may still be very early days for the group right now, but ‘Defiance’ is certainly a bold step forward within their sound so far. Keeping the energy high and the euphoric riffs even higher, Tidal Water are certainly a name worth keeping a firm eye on for the months ahead as well.
