Transistors return with new single ‘Country Music’
Rural punks Transistors are back with their first new music in nearly a decade. Their latest single ‘Country Music’ is a tongue-in-cheek, high-energy punk track that takes aim at New Zealand’s country music scene in 2016, where most artists weren’t actually from rural areas.
Originally recorded in 2016, ‘Country Music’ was meant to be part of Transistors’ third album, but due to a number of setbacks, the record was shelved and left unfinished. Now, thanks to Brian Feary (Wurld Series, Jim Nothing, Melted Ice Cream), the lost recordings have been salvaged and finally given new life.
‘Country Music’ is the first glimpse of ‘Everything Will Never Happen Again’, the long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s ‘Is This Anything?’ and their 2015 ‘Cuppa Jarra Brossa EP’.
