Treasure Albums Ranked

Treasure (Korean: 트레저; RR: Teurejeo; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band formed in 2019 by YG Entertainment through its reality-survival program YG Treasure Box (2018). The 12-piece band consists of members Choi Hyun-suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Mashiho, Yoon Jae-hyuk, Asahi, Bang Ye-dam, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong-woo and So Jung-hwan. After debuting in 2020 with their single album, The First Step: Chapter One, their tetralogy sold over one million copies five months into their career. Junkyu, Ye-dam and Jung-hwan had stints in entertainment during their childhood days. Junkyu started as a child commercial model for prominent Korean brands. Ye-dam recorded songs for commercials, animated shows and soundtracks with his parents. He further appeared on SBS’ K-pop Star 2 in 2012, and finished as runner-up behind AKMU. Jung-hwan took on minor roles as a child actor and joined one of the world’s leading taekwondo demonstration teams, K-Tigers, where he won during a non-combat championship. In January 2017, Mashiho acted in label-mate AKMU’s musical short film, “Spring of Winter”, as a barista. That same year, from October 29 – January 26, 2018, Hyun-suk and Junkyu competed on JTBC’s Mix Nine as trainees under the label, finishing in 5th and 35th place respectively. Concurrently, on November 21, 2017, Jihoon, Ye-dam and Doyoung alongside others appeared on Mnet’s Stray Kids as representative trainees under YG Entertainment. 2. The Second Step: Chapter One

“Every tracklist songs from this album shine on its own. Their all my fave. Nothing more nor less. In , “Jikjin” I feel energetic. “U”feels like I’m dancing to it’s rhythm. “Darari” was like having secret crush for someone. “It’s okay”has that heartbroken feeling. “BFF”of course, I’m like with my friends everytime we’re happy. “Gonna be fine”is that song who’ll comfort me. In all, they’re all the best.”

1. The First Step: Chapter One 

“Some good thing about this album is that it’s still amusing overall, it’s something to have some fun with and we still get some diverse tracks even if they make the project a bit less cohesive. I probably won’t go back to this but I don’t mind it being played either if I’m in a playful mood and I can get why some people love the group due to how fun some tracks can be.”
