Understudy shares new single ‘Three Lovers’ and announces London event

London-based electronic artist Understudy has released his latest single ‘Three Lovers’, ahead of his debut EP swarms, due April 17.

Drawing from UK rave culture and experimental club sounds, the track blends sampled vinyl textures with a driving, industrial-leaning beat. Lyrically, it explores themes of jealousy and fractured relationships, delivered over a fast-paced, club-ready production.

Alongside the release, Understudy has announced UNDUN, a new live event curated and headlined by the artist, set to take place at Low Profile Studios in London on May 1. The night will feature a lineup of artists from across the city’s underground electronic scene, reflecting his focus on community and shared musical experiences.

Since relocating to London, Understudy has immersed himself in the capital’s DIY and rave circuits, shaping a project that combines sound, visual identity, and performance.

‘Three Lovers’ offers another preview of swarms, introducing a project centred on connection, experimentation, and the energy of the dancefloor.
