2. Nation Of Two, 2018
I actually think this is a really good album! It somehow found me at the right time at the right place. Recently I’ve been watching lots of TV because it works like the perfect antidepressant ever, and Saturday Sun is always playing in one of the commercials and it’s just stuck in my head. So I gave the whole album a try and it turned out I like it a hell lot. Probably because of the aforementioned things: it is like an antidepressant to me at the moment, it’s a bit commercial sounding, very light and summery. There are a few songs that feel like they were created for filling arenas and festivals but most of them are pretty laid-back and sparse and it’s never too much.”
1. Dream Your Life Away, 2014
“While Riptide is certainly the standout track on the album, and while the entire experience does come off as somewhat manufactured, it is a light and airy experience that is perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Each track seems very delicate and thoughtful, with the breezy acoustic pop simply sort of blowing through your ears. It’s a nice experience, and while maybe not wholly unique, it’s quite enjoyable and certainly something worth checking out if you’re interested in listening to some nice contemporary folk pop.
