VIXX Albums Ranked
VIXX (Korean: 빅스 pronounced “vicks”; acronym for “voice, visual, value in excelsis”) is a South Korean boy band formed by Jellyfish Entertainment through the 2012 reality show MyDOL. Originally a sextet, the group is presently composed of five members: N, Leo, Ken, Ravi and Hyuk—former vocalist Hongbin left the group and the agency in August 2020. They are predominantly known as a concept or performance group whose music, lyrics, choreography, and overall stage performances are crafted together to tell a story or concept. VIXX has cemented a “niche in the theatrical side of K-pop” with performances that follow a storyline that is carefully put together. In a review of one of their concerts, journalist Park Jung Sun commented, “They presented live performances which broke prejudices people have towards idols. VIXX presented a musical-like stage as coming off from the-usual-concert which displays singing and dancing. VIXX led their fans to UTOPIA that they constructed”. Here are all of VIXX albums ranked.

6. Reincarnation
“Reincarnation’s first thirty seconds are exhilarating, with a dynamic percussive loop driving the song forward on its inventive rhythm that seems to pull equally from drum and bass and swing music. This introduces an off-kilter rap verse and brief build before the track collapses into one of my least favorite tropes of modern pop.”
5. 2016 Conception – Ker
“VIXX 2016 Conception Ker is the second compilation album by South Korean boy band VIXX. The special album was released on November 21, 2016 under Jellyfish Entertainment, supported by a music video and a new song.”
4. Depend on Me
“The last song is different for each version of this album: The regular album has a Korean version of “Can’t Say”, version A a song by Leo and this version B a song by Ravi. Version B comes with a photobook (whereas version A has an extra DVD). Each album comes with one photocard. There are 6 random photocards for each member and version, so a total of 18 to collect.”
3. Voodoo
“I adore VIXX!! They don’t have the most physically taxing dance routines I’ve seen from Kpop but damn are they the most fricken creative with theirs! Their routines actually look like they BELONG to the song they’re dancing to!”
2. Chained Up
“VIXX is the blueprint for the new generation groups. They started all this innovative concepts and imagery. When they used the colored contact lenses for On and On in 2013 the TV producers fear they would look too scary for the general public. Yet they did and after a miriad of groups used as well. They were brave to put concepts like Voodoo Doll, dark and strong until today.”
1. Eau de VIXX
“This group is so underrated and it makes me so mad because this ENTIRE album is good. I find it hard for me to like every single song on an album but here we have Vixx who just done it again.”
