Vogue Villains unleash their powerful new single ‘A Slow Ride (At The Speed Of Light)’
Over the last few months, Vancouver Island’s Vogue Villains have been quick to establish themselves as one of the more impactful names on the rise right now. And with a flurry of dynamic releases under their belt already, they return once again with their powerful new single ‘A Slow Ride (At The Speed Of Light)’.
Lifted from their eagerly-awaited debut album ‘Built On Bones’, which is due out on the 7th March, ‘A Slow Ride (At The Speed Of Light)’ marks one of their most intense offerings yet. With its riff-happy aesthetic, thunderous energy, and catchy hooks layered throughout, they are certainly ones to watch for the months ahead as well.
Speaking about the new release, lead vocalist / bassist Andrew Baskin said, “While the lyrics may be sparse, they came out aggressive and poignant, so naturally the music had to follow suit. To say that it’s a song about no longer taking sh*t from anyone may be an oversimplification. It becomes much more complex when you think about the fact that we can just as much be the culprits of our own demise. And imagine the physical and mental struggle that goes along with that – a self manifested fist fight and the slow ride we take when we’ve been knocked down to the mat and the never-ending struggle to climb back on to your feet.”
