Wham Albums Ranked
Wham! were an English pop music duo consisting of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, formed in Bushey in 1981. They became one of the most commercially successful pop acts of the 1980s, selling more than 30 million certified records worldwide from 1982 to 1986. Influenced by funk and soul music and presenting themselves as disaffected youth, Wham!’s 1983 debut album Fantastic addressed the United Kingdom’s unemployment problem and teen angst over adulthood. Their second studio album Make It Big in 1984 was a worldwide pop smash hit, charting number one in both the UK and the United States. Associated with the MTV-driven Second British Invasion of the US, the singles from the album—”Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, “Everything She Wants” and “Careless Whisper”—all topped the US Billboard Hot 100. In 1985, Wham! made a highly publicized 10-day visit to China, the first by a Western pop group. The event was seen as a major watershed moment in increasing friendly bilateral relations between China and the West. Here are all of Wham’s albums ranked.

5. The Best Of Wham!: If You Were There… (1997)
“This a a good collection of their best stuff. Songs like ‘Everything She Wants’, ‘Last Christmas’ and ‘Club Tropicana’ are some of the best of the 80’s. It contains twelve of their hits, most of them made it to the top position in the british charts. Notable exceptions are ‘Bad Boys’ and ‘Careless Whisper’ (which is part of the ‘Make it Big’ album, but was as single a solo release by George.”
4. Music From The Edge Of Heaven (1986)
“The first half of the album pumps you up with happy upbeat songs and then you cool down for the last half! I like Wham’s first two albums a little bit better than this one; However, no group can ever compare to Wham and this cd is still better than any other groups cd in the world EVER!!!!”
3. Fantastic (1983)
“The lyrics are poppy and lightweight, and so is the mix – but come on, there’s too much talent here to dismiss it as a less-than-average album. As always, George sings his ass off, and the blue eyed funky arrangements are very well done throughout, if only because nobody allowed Andrew Ridgeley near a guitar.”

2. The Final (1986)
“You could not have come up with a better collection of songs from this group. George Michael laid it down with these hot tracks from the 80’s. Careless Whisper is a straight up true classic and it sounds just as good today as it did some 20 plus years ago. I also love the track “Everything She Wants”.”
1. Make It Big (1984)
“Definitely my favorite 80’s pop/wave band EVER. George Michael and Andrew Ridgely put out songs like Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Careless Whisper(my favorite pop love song ever), Everything She Wants, and many more and they are included in this collection. Easily my favorite 80’s pop album by a landslide. Good pop dance, VERY good pop ballad(Careless Whisper), and more to please the Whamatics everywhere. 80’s pop at it’s FINEST”
