20. Where Eagles Have Been (Wolfmother, 2005)
“I think this song is the favorite of Andrew Stockdale – he played it on a stream in his birthday. But it begins calm and nice, then comes the guitar, chorus, organ, solo… man”
19. Apple Tree (Wolfmother, 2005)
“Classic hard rock song. This song includes my favourite guitar solo ever. Another great from the first album. Good riff and a single-note keyboard playing on it. Nice lyrics and good guitar solo.”
18. Far Away (Cosmic Egg, 2009)
“Wolfmother is the best band of the past couple of decades, and this is my favorite of their songs. It is simply beautiful. The “step down from the mountain side” verse gives me goosebumps.”
17. Colossal (Wolfmother, 2005)
“This is my favorite song of the last twenty years or more. The imagery and the riffs go together so well. There are 4 Wolfmother tracks that are always the best until the next comes on, but Colossal edges it.”

16. Love Train (Wolfmother, 2005)
“That driving beat makes me want to jam every time I click it on. Awesome, simply awesome. If I were introducing someone to Wolfmother, this would be the song to play.”
15. Caroline (Cosmic Egg, 2009)
“Beautifully written (apart from the third line) and underrated song that deserves more attention. Birds tweeting quietly are the first sound you hear before the perfect combination of guitar and organ lead the background instrumentals for the majority of the song. However, this is not repetitive. A good usage of guitar and rhythm guitar (only if you listen carefully). Stockdale passionately sings the remainder of the ‘Caroline’ opening lyrics before a synchronized vocal and guitar part help end the song along a calm and electric end.”
14. In the Morning (Cosmic Egg, 2009)
“Fantastic lyrics assist a nice gentle start to the song. High pitched riffs and guitar parts state the importance of the instrument. Meanwhile, a welcoming drum fill enters a minute in at the right time during the start of the new verses. A good build-up to the chorus and thankfully the lyrics still do not disappoint. Perhaps the second part and the solo of the song are a little too heavy but it does not take away the positive and buoyant feel. Judging by the lyrics, I personally think that the song was written about Stockdale’s daughter who was born shortly before the second album. It reminds some of Led Zeppelin, who also had calmer and meaningful songs with the style and theme of Hard Rock.”
13. 10,000 Feet (Cosmic Egg, 2009)
“Two amazing guitar riffs. Both that are very heavy, low and powerful. It’s a hard rock/stoner rock heavy metal kind of song. My 3 favourite genres of music. Main riffs great but the one towards the end is even better. Very powerful. A real handbanging song”
12. Pyramid (Wolfmother, 2005)
“One of catchiest rock songs of 21st century. Wolfmother really goes back to the roots of real Rock music. These songs sound so classic and jet so fresh. Something to keep the real music alive.”
11. Back Round (Cosmic Egg, 2009)
“It’s got a western scary feel to it defiantly. Certainly the intro anyway. Catchy heavy riff throughout the song. Solo’s not great but the rest of the song is! The song stops slightly towards the end for some narrative spooky vocals from Stockdale.”
10. Eyes Open (Cosmic Egg, 2009)
“Shares similarities with ‘Violence of the Sun’. Not particularly heavy at the start but exploits that with a heavy guitar riff about a minute in. However, it’s still very different from VOTS. About 2:40 is when it breaks down fantastically into a slower mesmerizing end with keyboards parts that separate each guitar chord note and tender vocals that passionately voice ‘And I’ve been looking for so long, and now my eyes are open’. Following this is a heavy guitar riff and then a different guitar part, both of which are previously played in the song. A final verse finishes the underrated song.”
9. Mind’s Eye (Wolfmother, 2005)
“Slow epic ballad, I think this is why it’s so underrated. Actually one of their best songs, the keyboard thrashing is just amazing. I love this song! really fun to sing to!”
8. Vagabond (Wolfmother, 2005)
“One of the best tracks of Wolfmother… The rhythm goes perfectly with Stockdale’s voice and the crazy guitar that goes with the song… Amazing… A truly amazing song with unforgettable lyrics and beat that will never get old”
7. Enemy Is In Your Mind (New Crown, 2014)
“This song will bring you back to Black Sabbath. Defiantly the best song of ‘New Crown’ which was a fairly mediocre record. A catchy raw main riff and decent solo is what makes this song so great.”

6. Tall Ships (New Crown, 2014)
“A nice riff that repeat many times in the song, a bass line, a good organ solo at the mid of the song and a GUITAR SOLO. Best song from New Crown”
5. Violence of the Sun (Cosmic Egg, 2009)
“Keyboards are used a lot in this track. Light at the start and a heavy guitar riff to exploit that about a minute in. But half-way through the song is where it really kicks off. Strong and powerful vocals and lyrics, heavy guitar chords and the same keyboard part start the mesmerizing end to the song. Heavy, but filled with serious emotions. The very VERY best way to end a fabulous album- Cosmic Egg.”
4. White Unicorn (Wolfmother, 2005)
“To me, I think that Jack White’s voice and guitar sound unique, but Wolfmother’s lead singer and guitarist sound so similar to him to me! I guessed that this album is White stripes before. Especially this song. Also Doesn’t remind me by Audioslave I used to think is a White stripes song, even thought that doesn’t sound like their voices.”
3. Dimension (Wolfmother, 2005)
“Second only to joker and the thief epitomizes Wolfmother’s awesome one-of-a-kind hard-heavy-crazy off-the-wall rock that we love. You know that if WM had been around in the ’60s or ’70s that scream would have become iconic.”
2. Woman (Wolfmother, 2005)
“This song is simply awesome. A very catchy riff with a great guitar tone. And stockdale’s voice is really badass man. This song is absolutely insane, its all over the place with awesome guitar and screaming at the top of your voice, awesome song Go wolves go!”
1. Joker and the Thief (Wolfmother, 2005)
“It’s punk is really awesome it deserves to be at the top I performed it in my college and everyone was like wow and me too. Easily the best rock song by a hard rock band in the last 10 years. And they’re from the mighty Australia too. It is the definition of hard rock.”
