3. So Good (2017)
“The singer with the hoydenish voice is the biggest new Scandinavian pop phenomenon of this decade. It’s catchy electropop with a focus on the hit singles. Lush Life is a celebration of summer love, dancing and being young and carefree. Don’t Let Me Be Yours she feels attracted to a bad boy. Ain’t My Fault was meant to be about a marriage wrecker, but the lyrics were toned down. Some songs have hip hop influence, but the pure pop songs are her best.”
2. Poster Girl (2021)
“For the Swedish poster girl singles were always more important than albums, but this is a fine collection of electropop songs. In Love Me Land the singer claims to be surprised to find herself in love again after a negative experience. WOW is a sensual song that plays with onomatopoeias. Ruin My Life is about the urge to return to someone who has maltreated her. FFF is about friendship turning into romance – or falling for a friend. She sounds young and pure, and the electronic beats are inviting to try a dance step. The lyrics will be recognizable for young women.”
1. 1 (2014)
“This is pure pop, in fact, I’m sure there’s a 70’s influence in the music of one of them. But I think her voice is just amazing – interesting, powerful and a great range which makes listening to this a real pleasure. Songwriting, which I don’t see has any credit to Larsson, is good too with some unusual takes on well-worn themes. Personally, I like the ‘story’ lyrics as well i.e. words that actually make sense and aren’t repeated endlessly, which for me makes the songs easier to listen to on the umpteenth time”
