2NE1 Albums Ranked

2NE1 (Korean: 투애니원; RR: TuaeniwonIPA: [tʰu.ɛ.ni.wʌn]) was a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment, which was active between 2009 and 2016. The group was composed of four members: Bom, CL, Dara, and Minzy. Known for breaking typical stereotypes of K-pop, musical experimentation, fashion, and stage presence, they are recognized for expanding girl group styles in the Korean music industry and have become one of the leading figures of the Korean wave. After a period of group hiatus, Minzy announced her departure from the group in April 2016, and the other three members officially disbanded that November. Their final single, “Goodbye”, was recorded as a trio and was released on January 21, 2017 as a farewell to their fans. Here are all of 2NE1 albums ranked.

“This is the only physical release to feature all of 2NE1’s trailblazing hits in one place. It also dates back to that time when the group were changing the pop landscape, paving the way for FX, Grimes and countless swaggering electro-Kpop hits.”

2. Crush

Crush wound up being 2NE1’s swansong, but it was a good one, and when I think of Blackpink’s current popularity, it feels like this album hasn’t aged a day since it came out (or maybe Blackpink sounds 2014-ish; I’m not the best with trends). Crystalline, punchy production, some empowerment vibes mixed with the loneliness themes, and earworm melodies brought to life by in-your-face vocals.”

1. To Anyone

“In an era where the concept of the LP has become supplanted by the need for speedy hit singles and sprawling deluxe editions or re-packaging, it is worth celebrating a group whose full length album that doesn’t necessarily suffer from the above categories. In fact, when it comes to K-POP, full length albums that are under 12 tracks seem to be few and far between (that’s assuming the group actually releases a full length LP).”
