A Day To Remember Albums Ranked
A Day to Remember (often abbreviated ADTR, and originally named End of an Era) is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida, founded in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are known for their amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk. The band currently consists of vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, bassist Joshua Woodard, percussionist/drummer Alex Shelnutt, and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff. Signing with Indianola Records for their first album, And Their Name Was Treason (2005), Scruggs was replaced by Shelnutt in 2006. Later that year the band recorded For Those Who Have Heart (2007) for Victory Records. They embarked on several tours of the UK and U.S. and played at several festivals before recording and releasing Homesick (2009). While promoting Homesick on tour, Denney was replaced by Skaff. Soon after releasing their next album, What Separates Me from You (2010), the band went on a worldwide tour to promote it. Since 2011, the band has been involved in a lawsuit with Victory Records over their recording contract. In October 2013 the band was given the right to self-release new albums until a final verdict is reached. They released their fifth album, Common Courtesy, that month. In 2016, the band released their sixth album, Bad Vibrations. They released their seventh album You’re Welcome on March 5, 2021, which marked their first release under Fueled by Ramen. 7. You’re Welcome (2021)
“If you wanted to listen to Homesick, then just go do it. With “You’re Welcome”, ADTR in 2021 is as talented as ever, even as they express new ideas and motifs on top of their storied past. It’s maybe not their best album, but it’s singable, headbangable, enjoyable music.”
6. And Their Name Was Treason (2005)
“Leads voice is good, the pace of the songs are good, breakdowns are good, choruses are good. A couple of the songs had weird-like movie lines or something and a few of the songs weren’t too great but overall it was awesome. Heartless, Casablanca Sucked Anyways, and You Should Have Killed Me When You Had A Chance are my favorites on this album.”
5. For Those Who Have Heart (2007)
“A Day to Remember’s second full-length album is the only reason I ever got into this band, and for the first time, a band successfully managed to combine elements of pop-punk fused with the harder-hitting hardcore style. Each song features all the things you’d expect, a build-up breakdown, catchy sing-alongs, and great energy, but all this hits a point of getting old. Most of the breakdowns feel overdone and alike, while some of the songs feature a familiar sound and style to previous tracks on the album. Beyond all these flaws though, my rating sticks strong, and ‘For Those Who Have Heart’ is still one of my favorite all-time albums.”

4. Common Courtesy (2013)
“This is the 3rd best ADTR album only behind WSMFY and Homesick. My only slight complaint with this album is that its a bit too long. The other 2 albums I mentioned were around the 40 minute range and this album is about an hour. They could have shortened it a bit but besides that, This album is awesome”
3. Bad Vibrations (2016)
“A pretty good batch of songs, probably their best set since Homesick. It kind of sucks though that the best two songs are the first two songs. After that it just kind of drops a bit from there and can’t rebound to the same level (“Justified” is the exception perhaps). Still good though. This is probably one of their heavier albums, with the focus set squarely on metal core but there are still a few pop punkers thrown in there to add some variety as usual. There is nothing here that will cause this to rival their two best albums but it’s still a very nice effort.”
2. What Separates Me From You (2010)
“I have the past albums from this band they are all great, what i like about this one is the songs are either heavy or poppy in the past they mostly mixed both of it together, but this one is great. If you have an open mind to any form of pop punk, metalcore, pop rock or even hardcore (listen to 2nd suck, not traditional but bouncy hardcore describes it well).”
1. Homesick (2009)
“I love pop punk and I love metalcore. Take those two things and add in some hardcore elements(gang vocals, breakdowns) and you have a kickass band. And that’s what A Day To Remember is. I know the haters love to hate on this style of music, but I love it. Listening to Homesick, the best way I could describe it is Blink-182 with breakdowns and screaming. And that’s a good thing.”
