ALBUM REVIEW: The Flashpot Moments – ‘Bombastic Fantastic’
Over these last few years, The Flashpot Moments project has been an extremely broad and immersive endeavour. Bringing together a multitude of diverse aesthetics to create a brilliantly distinctive direction to call its own, the offerings so far have already garnered plenty of praise and acclaim from across the new music spectrum. And with last year’s ‘Sauce’ and ‘Lucky Human Illusion’ EPs restoring those passionate ideals, they return once again with the euphoric new album ‘Bombastic Fantastic’.
Harnessing more of that riveting indie-rock appeal that has been so quintessential to their sound so far, ‘Bombastic Fantastic’ is an eight-track offering that builds upon their illustrious foundations to date. Matching the same vigorous swagger of their recent efforts and adding a dash of stadium-rock energy throughout, their newest collection marks one of their biggest and most anthemic releases to date.
While these last few years have certainly been some of their most prolific on record, ‘Bombastic Fantastic’ shows that there is still plenty of rich and exciting energy pulsating through everything they do. With such a firm and confident approach to their songwriting and production at every turn, they continue to shine as one of the more captivating names on the rise right now.
