10. Seventeen (Know-It-All, 2015)

“I think people are over-focusing over the seventeen things like “I’m seventeen I wish time could stop” but she’s actually saying that being older made her realize that when your young you don’t don’t see how fast times flies and the more you go and the more responsibilities you get in life, it makes you realize how lucky you were…”

9. For You (This Summer, 2019)

“I love this song. I love how all her music is different and it has meaning and not flooded with a tons of profanity. I don’t mind some profanity but it’s refreshing to hear some pure talent without a bunch of cussing once in awhile!”

8. Four Pink Walls (Know-It-All, 2015)

“This young singer is in a league of her own. She actually sings songs of substance and I absolutely love that it’s not dirty or disgusting to get sales. Normally I don’t buy much modern music but this young lady has a unique voice and I support young women who don’t have to degrade themselves for sales. Good singer, fun music”

6. I’m Yours (Know-It-All, 2015)

“This song is amazing. The beats, the singing, the music video about her running away from a boy. This is one of the only artists I’ve ever heard of that speaks the truth and is so genuine and also makes great music.

5. Stay (Everything, Everything, 2017)

“Alessia Cara’s contribution here as a lyricist is definitely not her best work, falling back on mostly on generic phrases and cliches. However, she does come up with a decent melody and a pretty good chorus. Zedd really gets to shine here, presenting a song that sounds quite different than his previous works. Although, at times, his work on this track feels too similar to that of The Chainsmokers his use of clock sound effects and an engaging post-chorus hook hold up pretty well.”

4. How Far I’ll Go (Moana, 2015)

“Everything about this movie, down to the pop version of its main song, just buries Frozen with how beautiful it is. Of course, choosing Miss Alessia Cara as the one to perform it was genius.”

3. Wild Things (Know-It-All, 2015)

“This song makes me feel so good. It doesn’t matter who you are, there’s people out there who are like you. There’s nothing better than being yourself. Sometimes we want to be other people because they look happy. I think that if you’re happy, other people will want to be you.”

2. Scars to Your Beautiful (Know-It-All, 2015)

“In the world where media is ruining everything, this message had to be addressed loudly and it has been done, that too with a beautiful melody and exceptional talent.”

1. Here (Know-It-All, 2015)

“Strange case of a pop song with a bridge that not only doesn’t feel forced, but might actually be the best part of the song. Not the biggest fan of how the message is delivered (as most people seem to complain here), but Alessia’s vocals are very breathy and memorable, so it’s nice to listen.”
