AriazĀ is a South Korean girl group formed by Rising Star Entertainment, a subsidiary label ofĀ Star Empire EntertainmentĀ in 2019. The group made their official debut on October 24, 2019, with their first EPĀ Grand Opera. Prior to the groupās debut, various members already had some experience in the entertainment industry. Yunji had appeared in theĀ fifth seasonĀ of the survival seriesĀ Superstar KĀ in 2013, and later appeared in theĀ first seasonĀ of reality television talent showĀ Produce 101Ā in 2015 along with future band-mate Sihyeon. Yunji and Sihyeon were set to debut in the girl group OMZM with other members, however, the groupās debut was postponed and their fancafe was later temporarily closed. āI think the rest of their album is better, especially ouch has me replaying it lots. theyāre definitely one of the most vocally strong girl groups that came out this year and that makes it so much more fun to listen to their songs!ā

āA cover of JewelryāsĀ Hot & ColdĀ transferring the Synthpop glory of the original into smooth Contemporary R&B waters by [of course] losing a bit of edge. It simply might be a matter of taste which version one might prefer. I like ARIAZ and hope theyāll come up with another strong original song in a not too distant future. For now this is good enough for some spinsā¦.ā

1. I LIKE U (I LIKE U, 2021)
āARIAZ really have a great, natural vocal sound and I appreciate how straight forward and bubbly this song is. They somehow even remind me of much missedĀ ė¼ė¶Ā [LABOUM]Ā but with a more 2021 sound to them. Right, thatās high praise and I only picked that comparison to give anyone interested a wee notion about what to expect. I have high hopes for ARIAZ and really like their latest singleā
Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said āYou can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.ā She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
