20. Barbarian (Thrill Seeker, 2005)

“Their best song, the drumming in this is just insane! The guitar, the screaming everything in this song is completely awesome. Amazing because they killed it with so much less experience!”

19. A Shot Below the Belt (Thrill Seeker, 2005)

“Well, in my opinion should be much higher, the beginning, the slow part, the mind blowing part after the slow passage makes it one of the best hardcore songs ever.”

18. Beauty In Tragedy (Rescue & Restore, 2013)

“The only ABR song that can bring me to tears almost every time. This is a song about losing a loved one, carrying on their legacy, and joining them in heaven. Its, in my opinion, the pinnacle of their best and most coherent album. I’m positive there will never be another one as good as Rescue and Restore.”

17. The Truth of a Liar (Messengers, 2007)

“The intro riff and the riff about midway through the song is absolutely amazing. combine that with the amazing drums and the sick vocals/lyrics and you have a really good song.”

16. Salt & Light (Leveler, 2011)

“Awesome background melody, heavy riffs, great screaming vocals by Jake, very meaningful lyrics, and an ending that is simply off the hook. It might not be the best ABR Song but it’s definitely my favorite!”

15. The Frost (Phantom Anthem, 2017)

“Quite simply, my favourite metalcore song ever (although Float isn’t far behind). Brutal riffing but still melodic and epic. Under-rated song from an under-rated album.”

14. Internal Cannon (Leveler, 2011)

“This is my favorite song on the album and one of my favorite songs we’ve ever written. I’ve described ‘Internal Cannon’ as our Latin song. There are a few sections that I think are going to turn some heads and have people saying either ‘Whoa! That was awesome!’ or ‘Whoa! That was weird. I don’t know if I like that.’ For the latter group, I’d like to think it’ll grow on ’em.”

13. Ghosts (Found in Far Away Places 2015)

“I really love the clean singing. August Burns Red and A Day To Remember are almost the only bands I listen to that didn’t release a terrible album in last years, so this song just HAS to be awesome.”

12. Spirit Breaker (Rescue & Restore, 2013)

“It’s simply amazing and incredible. The lyrics are so deep and have such meaning. It deals with, in my opinion, the struggles of depression. “staring at the walls to pass the time” are the first words and immediately make me want to lay my head back and let the song take me away. Agree or disagree, I’d encourage anyone looking for depth to listen.”

11. Back Burner (Messengers, 2007)

“In my opinion, this is ABR their greatest song. Just for the guitar, I would set this track above all the others, can’t get enough of this, it pushes me every time again! Amazing song, Great Guitar from Jb Brubaker, solid drumming from Matt Greiner, great lyrics.”

10. The Seventh Trumpet (Thrill Seeker, 2005)

“I like this song I love ABR. It the great song for 8.12 mn. I Listen every day before I’m working, it make me powerful! The Seventh Trumpet is the best of me. Amazing song,”

9. Fault Line (Rescue & Restore, 2013)

“Everyone should take the time to listen to this song because it’s amazing. I just love how awesome the guitars and the drums change the beat so often. Most powerful song I’ve ever heard, lyrics are gut turning and the sound goes with it. Just a perfect song!”

8. Redemption (Messengers, 2007)

“EVERYTIME I hear this song i am on the verge of tears it’s so powerful it’s amazing it helps me cope through really bad situations getting over my drug addiction..it’s so amazing”

7. Empire (Leveler, 2011)

“’Empire’ is a song about the human race using ingenuity as a means of pride and power. The first lines are the same as the last lines in the song; “Skyscrapers, earthmovers, ground breakers.” The song portrays a God-given creativity that should be used for bringing about purpose but is so often distorted and manipulated. I initially titled this song, ’Leveler; Make Level The Road For The Righteous,’ but we decided that ’Leveler’ was a much better name for the album, and thus the song was renamed.”

6. Ocean of Apathy (Constellations, 2009)

“This is one of August Burns Red’s best songs in my opinion. I mean I just can’t get over the melodies and the triplets during that AMAZING solo, and then that soft, bluesy-jazzy part that comes in right afterwards is superbly done!”

5. Meridian (Constellations, 2009)

“To me, this song is just amazing! I haven’t finish listening to all of their stuff but I found a favorite here. All the instrumental part to me is just mind-blowing! I feel like I’m carried away by the lead guitar throughout the song and that reaches its pinnacle right after Jake sings the last word.”

4. Meddler (Constellations, 2009)

“The ending of this song is one of the single greatest moments in music I have ever listened to. The vocals, drums and guitars work perfectly together. The guitar melody that comes in over top the chugging gives me goosebumps every single time.”

3. Composure (Messengers, 2007)

“This is by far one of their better songs when it comes to making you move. From its rapid fire tempo changes to the lyrics it’s nothing but kickass. Both breakdowns are nothing but amazing and have me bobbing my head to the tempo every time I hear it. I will say the same for both of the bridges and give this songs nothing but good fortune.”

2. Mariana’s Trench (Constellations, 2009)

“Absolutely breath taking. Just the flow gives me chills, not to mention there are some awe inspiring lyrics. If you are one for symbolism, enjoy. And if not? Headbang to your heart’s desire. Easily one of the most unique songs they have written thus far.”

1. White Washed (Constellations, 2009)

“Amazing song, lyrics speak to everyone no matter who you are, the song as a whole is out of this world, if you just took pieces by each instrument and listened to them separably, there not as good as when the song is all together.”
