8. Blown

“This is kind of an improvement on the debut. If that was one long meh almost-good package, this is the same but with a couple of higher points (they finally have some potential single material here) and a couple of definite lower points than the debut, but I’d rather that for my own tastes.”

7. Stonegates

“There is one good guitar riff after another on this solid long play. Bachman Turner Overdrive Two is hard rock as it should be. This is pure fun to listen to. “Stonegates” is an awesome cut. “

6. Give It Time

“Simplistic and highly commercial hard rock with catchy riffs. Few will deny their music was propelled to another level on the back of the Bachman bros. guitar work.”

4. Takin’ Care of Business

“Signature 70s AOR hard rock that is now a staple of classic rock radio. My parents were teenagers during most of the 70s, so they grew up with this stuff. Until I was close to a teenager myself, their kind of music was the only music that I listened to or knew, for that matter. “

3. Tramp

“Bachman-Turner Overdrive released their second LP, _Bachman-Turner Overdrive II_, in December of 1973, just seven months after pushing-out their modest debut album. Originally entitled _Adrenalin Rush_, the gear-grinding Canadian group intensified their sound behind the guitar work of the burly Bachman brothers. In addition, the vocals were spread out between the members of the group, unlike the first album, which featured C.F. Turner handling the majority of the lead singing.”

2. Let It Ride

“Let It Ride”, inspired by the Doobie Brothers, was the first single pulled from _BTO II_. The song crested at number twenty-three on the _Billboard_ chart. Randy Bachman’s riff guides the foot-to-the-floor driving anthem.”

1. Welcome Home

“Just really radio friendly hard rock of the day(better known as classic rock or a term that I hate more, dad rock). Full of poppy stuff, but yet hard at the same time. You either like it or find overrated, overplayed, and possibly boring.”
