BARCLAY’S release frenetic new single ‘If It Kills Me’

Chicago six-piece BARCLAY’S return with ‘If It Kills Me’, a breathless, heat-struck new track that leans into the project’s signature blend of chaos, catharsis, and improvisational edge. What started as Turner guitarist Alex McGrath’s solo side-project has become a shifting collective force, veering between free jazz, hardcore, and what the band calls feverdreamcore.

Their latest release is a twitchy meditation on performative love and emotional self-destruction, a sonic panic attack where each scream and sample hits harder than the last.

BARCLAY’S might not do the same thing twice, but with ‘If It Kills Me’, they’ve found a way to capture lightning in a bottle, even if it sets the lab on fire.
