10. Hexes (Hexes, 2012)

“The track is awesome and is sung by the only one who could pull it off . . .Chino Moreno, lead singer of the greatest band on earth.”

9. F.U.N. (Noise vs. Beauty, 2014)

“It’s amazing until the “bass drops” IMO, and I listen to this song for its certain parts. That’s usually the case with most electronic music to me. The epic and awesome build-up, and then this sluggish and impotent wrapping 1:30 – fortunately it changes 20 seconds later.”

8. Open Up (Noise vs. Beauty, 2014)

“Favorite song on the album, ever time I listen to it I feel as if all the molecules in my body are splitting and drifting apart, dust into the void of space. I hope he plays this song this weekend in Greensboro along with infinite.”

7. Lights (Bassnectar Remix) (Bright Lights (Lights Re-pack / Bonus Version), 2010)

“This song is a banger – no doubt. It will make you want to move. It will make you want to groove. But mostly it will make you want to thank the heavens that Bassnectar is on the lookout to remix sick tracks like this one and add an awesome base line with amazing drops to a beautiful voice like Ellie’s.”

6. You & Me (Noise vs. Beauty, 2014)

“Bassnectar releases yet another banger with vocals ft. Darling. Coming from an avid fan, I may be a bit biased, but give several songs a listen and you will see that he is more than a DJ simply mixing music. He spans many genres and includes so much that he truly stands out in a crowd of artists today. His passion is reflected in the depth and breadth of his music production.”

5. Above and Beyond (Divergent Spectrum, 2011)

“I love this song, it’s so beautiful and different. This is one of those songs you really don’t understand how someone could dislike it. Its a symphony created by technology. Technologic music can have just as much emotion as any other kind of music. I wish more people realized that.”

4. Underwater (Wildstyle 2010)

“The perfect mix of ethereal that effortlessly leads into mind-blowing, mega-bass beats. Ah, and that soothing, deep buzzing noise that pulsates through the whole song like a massive bumble bee.”

3. Butterfly (Vava Voom, 2012)

“I used to meditate to this and do yoga in a time where I was going through the hardest things in my life. It really got me through it and I feel so nostalgic listening to this again. I always listened to it in the dark and it was amazing.”

2. Bass Head (Timestretch, 2010)

“I don’t think a lot of people realize how insane it is to create something of this caliber…   to create drum patterns in this high of quality,  to create unique sounds that complement each other… and fit the with the melody…  the automation,  the effects, the mixing, mastering…  the song layout… truly a masterpiece.  “

1. Timestretch (Timestretch, 2010)

“This song is audible perfection. I can let my mind float freely through the cosmos, let my body preform with seemingly no resistance, let myself exist is my purest form, while listening to this track. Its prefect. This is the soundtrack of the trip mindset, the sound of creation and demise. This six minute collection of notes just embodies the universe to me.”
