Big Cry Country deliver lo-fi magic with new single ‘Our Things’

DC/NY indie-punk outfit Big Cry Country return with ‘Our Things’, a fuzzy, jangly gem lifted from their new EP ‘Something Blue’.

True to their DIY spirit, the band recorded the track with longtime collaborator Kyle Pulley at Headroom Studios in Philly, except for the lead vocals, which frontwoman Roxanne laid down in the closet of her Brooklyn apartment. The result? A charmingly unpolished anthem that pairs emotional vulnerability with crunchy guitars and a melodic pulse that lingers long after the final chorus.

‘Our Things’ captures that bittersweet space between memory and detachment, the kind of breakup song that finds beauty in the aftermath. It’s scrappy, heartfelt, and unmistakably theirs.
