20. Listen Before I Go (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“This one is my all time favorite because I have started dealing with depression and the lyrics are so true. I can relate to the song more than any other song she has put out. The lyrics touched me but I don’t know how to describe it. Its like they were speaking to me in a way, like the song was meant for me.”
19. Wish You Were Gay (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“She ain’t homophobic. She’s not saying “I just kinda wish you were gay.” because she thinks being gay is bad. No. She wants him to be gay as a reason not to like her.”
18. Come Out and Play (Come Out and Play, 2018)
“I believe come out and play perfectly captures my personality. I think that people determine their favorite song by her based on how much they can relate to it, and this one I relate to the most.”
17. My Strange Addiction (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“I never heard of Billie Ellish until the Oscar’s this year. I believe she was a performer or something I took a chance and purchased this song. WOW, I’m impressed! She is no Lady Gaga, but she has a voice and her music is amazing”

16. Xanny (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“This song literally gives me goosebumps and sends shivers down my spine every time i listen to it. it always fills my eyes up with tears. this song just hits different”
15. All the Good Girls Go to Hell (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“It’s this aspect in particular why I like this song. I didn’t really care for pop artists such as Spears back when they became big around the turn of the century, so to hear a song that plays like an improved (and glummer) version of that, and to actually enjoy it, is pretty neat.”
14. I Love You (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“The first time I heard this… I was caught off guard. The melody really stuck with me. Her performance is very heartfelt. Listen to this if you haven’t yet.”
13. Ilomilo (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“Discovered Billie Eilish after hearing Bad Guy over the end credits to Bright Burn. There was something about the song, it was dark and mysterious but also surprisingly witty. When I found out that it was written by a 17 year old I had to see if the rest of her music was just as dark and mature and was pleasantly surprised by the album. This is like pop 2.0, it clearly draws from the same well as traditional bubblegum pop, but I’ve never seen an approach quite like Billie Eilish’s. I can’t recommend this album enough.”
12. No Time to Die (No Time to Die, 2020)
“Fool me once fool me twice, are you. Death or paradise now you’ll never see me cry there’s just no time to die. I love this song! She must be so honored to sing a James Bond theme.”
11. You Should See Me in a Crown (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“I am in love with Billie’s music. All of her songs are just amazing. This girl has so much talent. Cool little song. Has a very unique sound to it. I’m pretty sure there will be copycats to try and sound like her.”
10. My Boy (Don’t Smile at Me, 2017)
“I want to like this song. I mean, I do, but there’s one line that just ruins it for me. Telling people to trip over knives isn’t a very nice thing to do, and it doesn’t go with the vibe of this song!”
9. Lovely (Don’t Smile at Me, 2017)
“Great track. The lyrics are short and sweet. Both Billie and Khaled perform their verses wonderfully. The vocal work is spot on throughout the track. 4.75 Stars. Probably Billie’s best work to date, although Bury a Friend is equally great.”
8. Ocean Eyes (Common Culture, Vol. V by Connor Franta, 2016)
“Let’s look at two aspects of this song that works: Finneas’ lyrics and Billie’s voice. Just a few months before the release of “Ocean Eyes,” the O’Connells released another breakup song, the rather mediocre “s’s bren.” What makes “Ocean Eyes” better is the added romanticism. There’s the linkage of eyes to oceans, similar to how Henry David Thoreau referred to lakes as “Earth’s eye,” but also an acknowledgment of the ocean’s beauty. There is apocalyptic imagery of “burning cities and napalm skies” and a “world gone blind.” Combining these two elements, the song effectively gets at that ambivalent feeling of oceans being both comforting and deadly, a framing that’s a lot more compelling than telling “another story of girl meets boy.””
7. Everything I Wanted (Everything I Wanted, 2019)
“Such a really beautiful song, I heard it on the radio an instantly fell in love with it. It’s one of those songs that you could listen to on repeat and you’d never get tired of it.”

6. Bad Guy (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“I feel like this is a perfect first song to review, as someone who prefers solo songs over albums, I can safely say that Billie Eilish’s debut album is one of the best albums I’ve ever listened to. That being said, leadoff track and number one single Bad Guy is one of the worst tracks on the album. I gave it a 4.5/5. Or a 9/10. Or a “GREAT TIER”. Its one of the best songs to ever hit number one and its Billie on complete autopilot. Ill probably rate the album a 5/5 myself when I actually am not lazy enough.”
5. Copycat (Don’t Smile at Me, 2017)
“Billie and Finneas have found themselves having written a fantastic opener for Billie’s debut EP, Don’t Smile at Me. The song features quiet verses and a loud-ass chorus, both of which are pretty catchy.”
4. When the Party’s Over (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“While her brother Finneas may have written this amazing ballad, there is no way the song would have been as good if he had sung it (he’s not a bad singer, but Billie’s voice is on another level). Seriously, Billie’s voice makes this emotional song.”
3. Bury a Friend (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, 2019)
“Billie Eilish is the perfect encapsulation of the late 2010s cynical, depressed, anxious social media generation that’s turned “I want to die” jokes into a meme. It’s like the role Evanescence and Avril Lavigne filled for my generation, except Billie Eilish is considerably more talented and interesting than either of those, and all of those above-mentioned issues have been turned up to 11 in the modern-day.”
2. Bellyache (Don’t Smile at Me, 2017)
“This is my favorite song, and Billie Eilish shows so much creativity in this video. Billie Eilish is so young but so special and different in a good way, and I just can’t think of anyone as talented as her!”
1. Idontwannabeyouanymore (Don’t Smile at Me, 2017)
“Her most powerful and provoking song, with gorgeous lyrics and a soft tune. I love it so much. it doesn’t just have to apply to a relationship–it can apply to a girl who wants to look and be like someone she feels is better than her”
