10. Love And War (2017)

“One of his best! This album is a complete ride that will make you laugh, cry & think about the world we live in today. The love songs are amazing & the guitar playing (well it’s Brad Paisley – what can I say). It’s a really fun album to play, roll the windows down and cruise.”

9. A Brad Paisley Christmas (2006)

“It contains many classics as well as originals. I especially like the “Born on Christmas Day” which was written by Brad when he was little and it actually has a recording of little 13 year old Brad singing the song and playing guitar then transitions to the current day Brad signing the second half the song. Another nice original is James Penguin, which is a catchy song that doesn’t get enough recognition.”

8. Part II (2001)

“He begins with the toe tapping Two Feet Of Topsoil, then his big breakout no.1 hit I’m Gonna Miss Her(very funny). Also included are the hits Wrapped Around-love Brads electric guitar solo on this and the 2 lovely ballads Two People Fell In Love and I Wish You’d Stay. Other standouts include the beautiful collaboration with the fantastic Chely Wright on the ballad Part II which she sings harmonies on and she also co wrote the excellent Come On Over Tonight with Brad-great song.”

7. Who Needs Pictures (1999)

“He opens the album with a cracking electric guitar solo on Long Sermon then there’s his hits Me Neither and the title track Who Needs Pictures. Also included is his first no.1 hit,the very touching He Didn’t Have To Be and his second no.1 We Danced, a lovely romantic ballad.”

6. Play: The Guitar Album (2008)

With Play (The Guitar Album), Brad Paisley brings mostly instrumental pieces that feature an amazing breadth of skill, variety of composition, and a deep respect for the guitar players that influence his work. Every Brad Paisley album gives the listener a heaping helping of his unmatched guitar work but this album simply overflows with it. But remember that this is The Guitar Album and it features Brad on his guitar. If you want more of Brad’s vocals, you have 9 other options but you will be missing a phenomenal collection of songs by a guitar genius.”

5. Mud On The Tires (2003)

“His “Mud On The Tires” album stands squarely in the way of modern country music. The title song is great. “Celebrity” takes a stab at Hollywood’s latest “get famous quick” fad. Immediately following that, “Ain’t Nothin’ Like” shows us all what really matters in the world today. Songs like “That’s Love” and “Famous People” make us laugh and shake our heads and say “how true” everytime that we hear them. Paisley introduces the modern country fan to real legends like George Jones, Little Jimmie Dickens and Bill Anderson as they sit in on the “Spaghetti Western” song. We also get a taste of Redd Volkaert, who I’m sure 95% of modern country fans don’t know about, but should. Allison Krauss and Vince Gill also sit in on a couple of the tracks.”

4. American Saturday Night (2009)

“This album seems to be a walk down memory lane. Brad has many songs about his past including,’No’ ‘Welcome to The Future’ ‘Water’ and the beautiful no.1 hit ballad ‘Then’,one of his best ballads to date. It’s songs like these that show how Brad really wants to make a special connection with his audience by letting them inside his head. Other standouts is the sweet and witty Anything Like Me,which will having every parent relating to this, the stunning gospel style song that has a similar vain to Garth Brooks song Unanswered Prayers and the fantastic single Welcome To The Future, which Brad himself has said he is the most proud of.”

3. This Is Country Music (2011)

I

“Simply put, “This is Country Music” is terrific in every respect. It has an impressively strong line-up of songs. The title song, “This is Country Music,” kicks things off by throwing down a gauntlet to music fans everywhere – this is what country music stands for. There are love ballads, including “Remind Me,” a soaring duet with Carrie Underwood. Two especially poignant songs that display Paisley’s compassion for others are “A Man Don’t Have to Die” and “One of Those Lives.” Paisley includes “Eastwood,” a fiery guitar instrumental,” and rounds out this superlative album with a bluegrass-infused gospel song entitled “Life’s Railway to Heaven.”

2. Time Well Wasted (2005)

“Brad Paisley is one of the hottest singers on the Country scene and this album highlights his talents very well. Several of his hits are included: “Alcohol”, “Waiting on a Woman”, “When I Get Where I’m Going” (with Dolly Parton), and “She’s Everything”. Also included are several outtakes – really just clips of conversations that included a lot of laughter – that add nothing to the album, but I guess they needed to fill up some time so this was the way they chose.”

1. 5th Gear (2007)

““5th Gear” contains an impressive lineup of songs that demonstrate Paisley’s formidable singing, songwriting, and guitar playing talents. There are tunes filled with Paisley’s sly humor (“Ticks,” “Online,” and “I’m Still a Guy”), and love ballads, including “Oh Love,” a soaring duet with Carrie Underwood. One especially poignant song that displays Paisley’s introspection and self-awareness is “Letter to Me.” Paisley includes “Throttleneck,” a fiery guitar instrumental,” and a lovely gospel song “When We All Get to Heaven.” He rounds out this superlative album with “Bigger Fish to Fry, a comedic gospel number featuring the Kung Pao Buckaroos, and some surprise bonus tracks.”
