10. Thank You (Thank You, 2022)

“Yeah, the melody’s kind of lackluster, but the chorus is so catchy lol, and the groove is almost hypnotic in a way I can’t describe, but more highs and lows in the song might have helped it out a bit more.”

9. After We Ride (After We Ride, 2021)

“Yeah this is the kind of pop song which can work without a super powerful central hook to hold its weight, and that’s just because every part of it is robust and catchy enough on its own.”

8. Pool Party (ft. E-Chan of DKB) (Summer Queen, 2021)

“Pool Party” is decent. I can see why you chose it. Still, I’m going to have to lean with “Fever” as my favorite track from this release. To me, it comes across as the cleanest track. The girls are all singing in their normal registers, the music is more dynamic, and there is a slight city pop infusion.”

7. Chi Mat Ba Ram (Summer Queen, 2021)

“The track is upbeat, a too upbeat? Though the energy throughout the song was remarkable, the chorus could’ve had more power and the song on a whole could’ve had more highs and lows. It just sounds like loud continuous brass and ready beats”

6. Red Sun (RED SUN, 2021)

“There is a good song buried in here, but it is sucked joyless by that plodding instrumental in the verses, and then a shift in the chorus to something that sounds like a bad sad mad copy of every BlackPink song ever. But really the instrumental sucks. It makes me swear words that are impolite to type.”

5. We Ride (We Ride, 2020)

“The song itself is a little forgettable(as most city pop songs tend to be on the first few listens) but it’s an enjoyable listen. This song is one that’s really easy to listen to and it makes the whole experience much more enjoyable when you can let the song roll over you without being thrown around all the time.”

4. Rollin’ (Rollin’, 2017)

Rollin‘s melody doesn’t reach for any tricks or trends. Its verses float by without leaving much of a mark, contributing to the general vibe rather than drawing attention to themselves. The song’s strongest moment is its dynamic chorus, which covers the gamut from breathy lower register to full-on rave.”

3. Yoo Hoo (Yoo Hoo 2016)

“Yoo Hoo does have its appeal. It simply screams “lazing by the pool on a summer afternoon.” It’s so committed to its sense of effortless cool that it’s hard not to at least enjoy the track while it’s playing. As background music, it does well painting a specific vibe.”

2. High Heels (High Heels, 2016)

“The song begins off-beat, with a catchy chant that veers from disorienting to brilliant the longer the introduction plays. From that point on, we’re in pure Brave Brothers territory, from the swirling vocal ad-libs to the 80’s inspired refrains.”

1. Deepened (High Heels, 2016)

Deepened exists in a sort of echo chamber of its own. It feels like some weird little song you stumble upon at the end of a dark alley, pulsing and twisting without regard for its more insistent pop peers. The languid verses are almost hypnotic in nature, with the production deliberately submerged beneath murky filters.”
