10. Hello San Francisco (Hold That Plane!, 1972)

“The more I hear Buddy Guy the more I like his music. The style of music changes from album to album this one is a little jazzier than some of the others. This one is a little harder to find I found a used CD copy it was in good shape.”

9. I Suffer with the Blues (I Left My Blues in San Francisco, 1967)

“This is an enervated Buddy at his funkiest, and extremely humorous. I’m fairly certain he’s was trying his best to hold back laughter at the end of a few of these crazy songs. Such a tight, funky band. Loved this!”

6. When My Left Eye Jumps (I Left My Blues in San Francisco, 1967)

“if you want to know what the blues is, this album is a great start… the whole “run-off” record of this devil’s music… I wouldn’t do you dissect the tracks, I’d just tell you to listen!”

5. Stone Crazy (Blues Giant, 1979)

“.Buddy Guy has a long, storied career that I will not go into, but this is one of his best albums. Lots of blues, rock. R&B, all delivered with lots of energy. If you are a Buddy fan and don’t have this one, get it. If you do not have any Buddy in your collection, start with A Man and His Blues, then this one is not a bad place to try next.”

4. This is the End (Buddy Guy and His Band, 1959)

“Pretty much perfect helping of blues here. It manages to be really heavy but yet light and airy at the same time. Every instrument is at just the right level and comes in just the right time. Guitar and bass take the lead of course while the sax and piano twinkle in the background at times and give the music an almost psychedelic feel.”

3. Sit and Cry (Southern Blues 1957-63, 1994)

“Sit and Cry (The Blues)”, which was written by Willie Dixon, was recorded in Chicago in 1958 by Buddy Guy (vocal), Harold Ashby (tenor saxophone), McKinley Easton (baritone saxophone), Harold Burrage (piano), Otis Rush (guitar), Willie Dixon (bass) and Odie Payne (drums). It was Buddy Guy’s debut release.”
