Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao (born March 3, 1997) is a Cuban-born American singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor USA in 2012, signing a joint record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records. While in Fifth Harmony, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of the collaborations “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes, and “Bad Things” with Machine Gun Kelly, the latter reaching number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. After leaving the group in late 2016, Cabello released several other collaborations, including “Hey Ma” with Pitbull and J Balvin for The Fate of the Furious soundtrack (2017), and her debut solo single “Crying in the Club”. Cabello has amassed billions of streams on music platforms. She had the best-selling digital single of 2018, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Cabello has won many awards throughout her career, including two Latin Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, and one Billboard Music Award. She has also received three Grammy Award nominations. “Camila has brought a new image to herself from girl band ‘bop’ days to confident young woman. In this release she highlights the areas of romance in her life between two relationships, ending with a song to the most obvious and important – her father. She begins the album with a message of feeling shameless, that touches on the areas of sex and mischief. In the middle of the album is the summer hit señorita, a wonderfully placed part of the album. She keeps up her Cuban/Mexican roots in the music of the album, with the instrument choices in each song. Overall, a lovely follow-up to her debut, it may not be perfect for everyone, but for some, it might be a great listen.”

“Camila Cabello is an actual artist, and as such, her music features some good deal of art. She co-wrote all of the songs in her debut album, and her songwriting abilities, along with her personal, touching lyrics, give this album a real depth that’s not usually seen in today’s pop music. You can clearly tell that the music comes from her soul, and her voice, of course, has always been remarkable, giving her soul a special expression. The two best songs on this album are the gorgeous ballads “Consequences” and “Something’s Gotta Give”, while the mid-tempo “Real Friends” and the mega hit “Havana” are also great tracks. “Never Be the Same” and the potential hit “She Loves Control” are two songs that don’t show a particular musical greatness, but are still quite cool songs, catchy but not too cheesy.”
