Carmine Nights return with swaggering new single ‘The Wire’
London rock duo Carmine Nights are back with their first release in two years, and it’s a bold new direction. Out now, ‘The Wire’ introduces a darker, groove-driven edge to the band’s sound, blending gritty guitar lines, crisp electronic beats, and a hook-laden chorus that sticks on first listen.
Formed in 2022 by high school friends Tom Welsh (guitar) and Jonny Harper (drums), Carmine Nights first made noise with their debut self-titled EP. Since then, the pair took time to recalibrate, emerging with a sharpened sound and renewed energy. ‘The Wire’ is the first taste of their upcoming 2026 EP and offers a glimpse into a heavier, more experimental era for the band.
Fans of Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age, and Arctic Monkeys will find plenty to sink into here, but ‘The Wire’ is a confident, modern evolution that cements Carmine Nights as a duo to watch.
