10. Under This Old Hat

“This is one of my favorite of his later albums. Under This Old Hat was the first album Chris recorded after his golden award album Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy. Chris rerecorded two of his older songs, Cowboy’s Like A Little Rock And Roll and Wild And Wooly, on this album. Chris released a new song on this album, Powder River Home, about going back to his home in the Powder River region and its my favorite song on this album.”

9. Stampede

“This album is the best Chris has to offer as I have quite a few of his albums. The songs are all top notch and filler won’t be found. If you want a good album with a little bit of pop, a little bit of rock and a whole lot of cowboy sound”

8. Songs Of Rodeo And Country

“For any lover of REAL AUTHENTIC country music who cares to delve beyond the popular “country” acts, here is where they will find a supreme example of a REAL COUNTRY ACT, he has been a champion rodeo rider, singer, songwriter, (much copied by discerning artists) Garth Brooks admits this is where he got his act from.”

7. One Road Man

“I think this album is another fine effort in the outstanding musical career of Chris LeDoux. I’ll admit that I was disappointed at first to see that he did not write any of the songs on the album, but he does have a very unique way of “making” a song his own. “The Fever” and “Bang a Drum” are prime examples of this. He has also managed to keep putting out the traditional cowboy music. Songs like “Old Paint” and “Caballo Diablo” harken back to some of Chris’ earliest albums, when he sang of the Old West and how it used to be. There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that this is a real rodeo cowboy when they hear him sing about “One Ride In Vegas.””

6. Horsepower

“He sings powerful songs on this CD and love songs too. One of the songs, The Ride, reminds you of his life and how he probably felt, in a way, about his life, when he was ill. He was a champion rodeo rider. Some of the songs are happy. The Buffalo Grass sounds like American Indian music. It is rather mournful. . He is a singer who will never be forgotten.”

5. Cowboy

“It has some of my favorite LeDoux classics, mixed with the voice that everyone came to know while he was getting radio play outside of Utah and Wyoming. If you’re looking for More Chris LeDoux music, or just a great, great piece to add to your George Straits, Mark Chesnutt’s, Tracy Byrds, and early days Garth Brooks’, this is a perfect album. This folks, is what Country Music is all about!”

4. Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy

“This album was recorded in the early 90’s about the time Mr. Ledoux caught on with the “other ” country music crowd. His “Cadillc Ranch” may have been the most popular by radio standards and later made into a dance tune…with extended play time. “Little Long Haired Outlaw” and “Hooked on an 8 second ride” are on the rock and roll side ..upbeat. He slows it down with “Look at you girl” and does well for not having the greatest crooner voice. But my favorite on this album, and is worth the price alone is “Cant see him from the road.”

3. 20 Greatest Hits

“There’s plenty of high energy in all these songs, kicking off with the wonderful anthem “Life is a Highway.” Following is a whole range of sentiments from the darkly angry and deep-hearted “This Cowboy’s Hat” to the snoose-in-cheek “Copenhagen” to the unembarrassed love songs like “Look at You Girl” and “County Fair.” Meanwhile, he heartily celebrates the wonders of sexual energy in “Gravitational Pull” and “For Your Love.””

2. After The Storm

“This is not a regular Chris LeDoux CD. Instead of his typical “Rodeo Rock ‘n Roll,” LeDoux slows this albumn down. A listener can hear how relaxed LeDoux is. Track one, Some Things Never Change, is an incredible song that anybody who has ever spent years fixing fence or chasing cows would appreciate. Don’t it Make You Want to Dance has a warm, friendly feeling. Cowboy Up sounds a lot like his really old stuff (like Photo Finish, Re-Ride, and National Finals Rodeo). He also has a new version of Bareback Jack. This CD is really, really good, and proves once again that LeDoux doesn’t make his music for the popular culture, but makes it because it is good, original country music.”

1. Haywire

“In 1994, Chris LeDoux was still at the top of his game. Not that there was ever any down-time for the man. This album has the loud Cowboy Rock N Roll Chris has been known for, along with his classic Western Soul and Rodeo songs that the fans have come to love. Half the album has Country radio staples from the era, ad the other half doesn’t fall short of the big hits. Chris’ band, Western underground is as tight as ever.”
