CNBLUE (Korean: 씨엔블루) is a South Korean pop-rock band formed in 2009. The band consists of Jung Yong-hwa (leader, main vocals, guitar, keyboard, rap), Kang Min-hyuk (drums), and Lee Jung-shin (bass). First bassist Kwon Kwang-jin left the band after they released their debut Japanese extended play Now or Never in 2009, and was replaced by Lee Jung-shin. Lee Jong-hyun (guitar and vocals) left the band on August 28, 2019. CN is an initialism for Code Name, while BLUE is a backronym for burning, lovely, untouchable, and emotional; it is meant to portray the images of Jong-hyun, Min-hyuk, Jung-shin, and Yong-hwa, respectively. On January 14, 2010, CNBLUE debuted in Korea with the lead single “I’m a Loner” from their first Korean EP Bluetory.

The encased album looks even better in person and has a high quality photobook inside also containing two photocards and a signed premium photocard! The disc itself is worth it even if it were by itself in a normal case because of its intricate design. The music is of coarse more than great and can be appreciated by any music lover! “

“CN Blue latest CD has a mix of genres like alternative rock, sexy saxes, a little bit of country, electronic rock, pop and ballads. Also a picture book with photos of the whole band. By the way, this is a real band and not knocking other Kpop groups but these guys actually play instruments and all the songs are written by either the lead Jung Yong Hwa or one of the other members of the band.”

“If you enjoyed the first wave of Beatle music you will enjoy this CD. The music is uplifting and fun. CNBlue started my Korean music library. I also find FTIsland, Shinee and Big Bang to be extremely good. For someone who knew nothing of Korea I now have engulfed my self in to the language, the dramas, music and History and it started with CNBlue. They blend English into their songs in a unique way that catches you and the blend of vocal talent with rap and harmonies melts into your soul. It will become addicting.”
