Coilguns explore the fragility of human connection on ‘Replication Crisis’
Swiss noise-rock heavyweights Coilguns confront the complexities of modern relationships and scientific uncertainty on ‘Replication Crisis’, a thought-provoking track from their fifth studio album ‘Everything We Love, We Destroy’.
Drawing an intriguing parallel between the difficulties of reproducing scientific findings and the unpredictable nature of human connection, ‘Replication Crisis’ examines how love, friendship and emotional understanding can resist even our most determined attempts to make sense of them.
The track forms part of an ambitious ten-song collection that finds the Swiss quartet expanding their ferocious musical identity, incorporating groove-driven rhythms, textured guitars and increasingly adventurous arrangements into their uncompromising blend of punk and noise-rock.
Recorded in La Chaux-de-Fonds with producer Scott Evans and mixed by Tom Dalgety, the album addresses everything from environmental destruction and political hypocrisy to digital misinformation and personal responsibility.
