Conscious Pilot share new single ‘Human Poultry’ ahead of debut album

Glasgow post-punk outfit Conscious Pilot have released their new single ‘Human Poultry’, offering the latest preview of their debut album of the same name, arriving May 8 via DevilDuck Records.

The track sees the band push into heavier territory, driven by a fast-paced, jagged riff and a restless energy that shifts between tension and release. Built for both movement and reflection, the song balances urgency with moments of dark humour and introspection.

Lyrically, ‘Human Poultry’ draws from personal experience, initially inspired by bassist Jack Sharp’s reaction to losing a job. The result expands into a broader reflection on pressure, self-doubt and the feeling of being shaped by forces beyond your control.

Recorded at RAK Studios in London with Seth Evans and Adele Phillips, the track forms part of an album rooted in the band’s early experiences living in Glasgow.

Following a run of EPs and growing live reputation, Conscious Pilot continue to build momentum ahead of their debut release.
