DEAD STAR TALK begin ambitious album cycle with ‘Outta Luck’

DEAD STAR TALK introduce the next phase of their career with ‘Outta Luck, the first single from forthcoming third album Now Then Always Forever.

Produced by longtime Metallica producer Flemming Rasmussen at Copenhagen’s Sweet Silence Studios, the track blends psychedelic atmosphere with a more grounded alternative-rock approach. Layered guitars provide much of its weight, while vocalists Christian Holl Buhl and Günes Svarre Kocak create contrast between deeper, weathered tones and a cleaner, lighter delivery.

Lyrically, ‘Outta Luck’ deals with the moment when excess finally catches up with you. But rather than searching for an immediate solution, the song remains with that uncomfortable realisation, setting up a wider narrative that will develop across the band’s forthcoming material.

Across the two records, DEAD STAR TALK worked with almost 30 guitars alongside occasional Turkish saz, developing a densely layered sound that ‘Outta Luck’ provides the first introduction to.
