Eddie Cochran Albums Ranked

Ray Edward Cochran was an American rock and roll musician. Cochran’s songs, such as “Twenty Flight Rock”, “Summertime Blues”, “C’mon Everybody” and “Somethin’ Else”, captured teenage frustration and desire in the mid-1950s and early 1960s. He experimented with multitrack recording, distortion techniques, and overdubbing even on his earliest singles. He played the guitar, piano, bass, and drums. His image as a sharply dressed and attractive young man with a rebellious attitude epitomized the stance of the 1950s rocker, and in death he achieved iconic status. Cochran died at age 21 in St Martin’s Hospital, Bath, Somerset, after a road accident in Chippenham, Wiltshire, at the end of his British tour in April 1960. He had just performed at the Bristol Hippodrome. Though his best-known songs were released during his lifetime, more of his songs were released posthumously. In 1987, Cochran was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His songs have been recorded by a wide variety of recording artists. Here are all of Eddie Cochran albums ranked.

3. Eddie Cochran

“The music is reallyon top, and it is somewhat a pity that so little effort and time has been spent to make a proper booklet with information about music and its creation. The sparse notes are not better than the average low-price collection that can be found at most gas-stations.”

2. Eddie Cochran “Inédits”

“Contains instrumentals in the middle of unreleased of the time (1964). Not one of the most essential albums, but for “completists”, as they say. And the cover is awesome”

1. Singin’ to My Baby

“Eddie Cohran, in my opinion, lags a bit behind other rock & roll pioneers such as Elvis Presley, Byddy Holly, Chuck Berry and Little Richard. His rockabilly is a bit less energetic and therefore less thrilling for the listener. Even so, this album features some nice songs including Stockings and Shoes, come right after it is followed by the nightmarish Tell Me Why It”
