EP REVIEW: Aedon – ‘Raise Your Voice’

Ever since they first emerged, German outfit Aedon have looked to explore a broader and more illustrious aesthetic than most. Dabbling in a range of emotive and passionate ideals that have enabled them to spread their creative wings throughout indie-rock and alt-rock textures, they have quickly found themselves as one of the more admirable names doing the rounds. And after returning with the single ‘Raise Your Voice’ last year, they are now back with their latest EP of the same name, a release brimming with evocative ideas throughout.

While only three tracks in length, there is so much vigour and heartfelt emotion running throughout this new collection. Opening up with the warm and vibrant title-track before turning up the rigorous guitar hooks for ‘Change This World’, Aedon have returned to the fold with a brilliantly dynamic EP that finds them in one of their most explorative guises to date.

It is easy to see why so many have been flocking to the German four-piece these last few years. Managing to balance a heady mix of euphoric songwriting with some wonderfully impactful moments has been their calling card recently, something that ‘Raise Your Voice’ is absolutely bustling with.
