10. Pirate (Return of the Girl, 2021)
“It’s reminiscent of some excellent songs like Girls Aloud’s Something New, totally weird EDM banger with a great chorus and verses that have these dirty club beats. This to me is the best of both worlds combo of Adios and LaDiDa.”
9. Promise (Promise, 2021)
“That pre-chorus starts off weird though, but it gets up quick enough. The second verse breakdown definitely puts a bit of a damper, but its synths are good enough to not detract. That chorus though with the classic retro synth sound is so exciting. Definitely feels like a better follow-up to LA DI DA.”
8. Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (Last Melody, 2021)
“This is definitely Sihyeon and Onda’s era and I’m so happy for them both. They finally are getting more parts and recognized for their talent. E:U is next! I believe she’ll get more soon.”

7. First (Last Melody, 2021)
“I’m really enjoying this song. This feels like Everglow taking a concept they’re comfortable with and pushing it in a new direction. I feel like the production is actually quite energetic without faltering into pure noise.”
6. Untouchable (−77.82X−78.29, 2020)
“The song is fine, well done. But not my style. I don’t really listen to kpop to find songs that I could find just about anywhere on the planet. I feel like I could hear this resonating out of the doors of H&M or GAP or Old Navy on any continent. I suppose that is and should be taken as a high compliment, because getting on the soundtrack of that kind of store would be great!”
5. La Di Da (−77.82X−78.29, 2020)
“As for the song itself, the second verse is the only part of the song that gives me pause. I was expecting a generic trap breakdown with grating hi hats or an irritating loop during E:U’s part, but La Di Da thankfully filters out most of the sounds I would find out of place and gives us a more bass-heavy sound, which I love. Plus, I am just loving the bass line in this song, so this rap breakdown brought out one of the more outstanding elements of La Di Da and made it the focus. That is good writing in my opinion.”

4. Dun Dun (Reminiscence, 2020)
“The difference between this and equally bratty but better Itzy singles is JYP. JYP knows how to do the instrumental better, how to get one or two stand out synth lines that are unique and has an actual hook. Think of that low puff pan pipe bass line that anchors Dalla Dalla. The twanging bass in ICY paired with the sampled really short staccato “eh”. Less is more.”
3. You Don’t Know Me (Hush, 2019)
“I purchased the Hush EP when Adios dropped and instantly had the same “Red Velvet” vibe when this track started playing. I think all of the production houses are constantly producing music, which they then offer to the top agencies/artists, and if they don’t bite, then this material gets seeded to lesser acts. When I hear a song like this (which I really like), then I wonder who passed on it; in this case, Red Velvet is probably a good guess.”
2. Adios (Hush, 2019)
“This song, here the Lisa-style line, here is the Jenny-style line, Here is where it gets Rose-like moody, here is Jisoo the quiet one with actual talent. (OK I said that.) I don’t even stan BP but I know their names which is more than some groups I do stan.”
1. Bon Bon Chocolat (Arrival of Everglow, 2019)
“This song was way too good for their debut like.. isn’t it insane to y’all how they’ve managed to just go up from here?? when this came out I thought this was the best song I heard in a good minute then their comebacks happened and I thought they were the best thing to ever happen. These girls are iconic and nothing but HITMAKERS”
