20. This is a Call (Foo Fighters, 1995)

“I think this is a really good song. It’s so much different from any other song that the Foo Fighters have released. It has metal roots in it, and really hard rock riffs. Just a really good song.”

19. Breakout (There Is Nothing Left to Lose, 1999)

“I never realized how good the Foo Fighters were until I heard this song. I sung this song in front of my friends and them they got into the Foo Fighters. I like it when they scream out breakout. another thing I can’t believe is This Is A Call is so low to. It is a very great song to, but Breakout is barely better”

18. Let It Die (Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, 2007)

“This song was introduced to me by my best friend and fellow rock fan. At first I thought it’s average but after listening to it a couple times made me change my thoughts Best song needs to be number 1. Must be listened a couple of times to really know how good this song is”

17. These Days (Wasting Light, 2011)

“Dave Grohl is one of the most genuine musicians ever, and he is so transparent in every one of the Foo’s songs. Yet in These Days, his emotion translates into the music more than in any other song of theirs. The pause before “EASY FOR YOU TO SAY” sends chills down my spine every listen of this masterpiece. Easily the most underrated song in their catalog.”

16. Long Road to Ruin (Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, 2007)

“This is my favorite Foo Fighters song. Listening to it makes me feel like being someplace else, someplace magical. I always picture a beautiful scenery: an actual paved road, old and dusty, above it the night sky. There is no civilisation around so the only light comes from millions of sparkling stars and a couple of old-fashioned street lights lining the road. Wide and endless fields stretch for miles on it’s right and left-hand side. A single giant willow tree growing in one of the fields breaks the uniformity of the land. Underneath this tree I imagine me and my sweetheart parking our car and making love between the wheat ears with the stars looking down on us.”

15. Aurora (There Is Nothing Left to Lose, 1999)

“This song is just perfect, it has a very powerful meaning, “I just kinda died for you, you just kinda stared at me, we will always have the chance, We can do this one more time” it is so perfect… The guitar is so calm and relaxing and in the chorus is full of power but is still calm… By far my favourite song, and I have heard all of their albums including Wasting Light… This song is epic”

14. Wheels (Greatest Hits, 2009)

“Their Greatest Hits album was the first I bought. At the time I was about 12, so to successfully buy my first CD by myself was special… Little did I know that they were to become my favorite band of all time and this song to stay with me until even today. The intro excites me beyond belief. The lyrics speak to me more then any other song they have, hell maybe, it speaks to me more than any song I’ve heard. I am so glad they were my first album!”

13. I’ll Stick Around (Foo Fighters, 1995)

“Great song… this was when Foo Fighters still had some Nirvana in them (Dave wrote this song while drumming for the grunge band) and when their music was a lot louder and rockier. I love wheels, this is a call, Monkey wrench and the pretender as well”

12. Bridge Burning (Wasting Light, 2011)

“All my life and times like these are Grohl’s worst songs. They are too repetitive and poorly written. He was also in a stage when he didn’t know when to end a song. No way it’s better than this”

11. Big Me (Foo Fighters, 1995)

“Big me was the very first song I heard from Foo Fighters. Loved it from day 1 and the video is super funny… Foo Fighters style.”

10. Rope (Wasting Light, 2011)

“I love this song in my opinion the best song off the new album, From the Reverb on the on the guitar at the beginning all the way up until the drum solo near the end. Love playing along to this song, Great bass line great riffs and awesome drumming”

9. Times Like These (One by One, 2002)

“This defines the foo fighters. It should be way higher than wheels. Monkey wrench and walk should be higher. Everlong is good, but overrated. This or the pretender should be number 1. Otherwise, this is a good list.”

8. All My Life (One by One, 2002)

“The Foo Fighters are incomplete without All My Life. It perfectly merges the quiet verse into loud chorus formula that they do so well, the riff is catchy, and it’s explosive and begging to be chanted by tens-of-thousand strong crowds! Need I say more?”

7. Monkey Wrench (The Colour and the Shape, 1997)

“Monkey Wrench is far the best song of the Foo Fighters and this should be within the Top 3! When somebody says Foo Fighters, the first thing that comes to mind is “Hey, they we’re the guys who sang Monkey Wrench” SO GUYS LISTEN TO THIS SONG first before listening to Everlong and The Pretender! Be the monkey! Hold this wrench to the top!”

6. Walk (Wasting Light, 2011)

“From the newer album “Wasting Light”, “Walk” is yet another meaningful song with not too much hardcore to cover up the meaning. It starts off melodic and perfect then turns more rock but not too much. The Foo Fighters outdid themselves with this song becoming my personal favorite of “Wasting Light”

5. My Hero (The Colour and the Shape, 1997)

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking? ” “Aim for the bushes” greatest song ever written. It just goes to show that heroes don’t have to be sport stars or movie stars but ordinary people. Makes me very emotional when I hear this song. It is utterly absurd that this song is so low because it is simply delectable.”

4. Learn to Fly (There Is Nothing Left to Lose, 1999)

“This is a classic rock and hard rock mixture of pure awesomeness. An incredible song with a more meaningful and melodic feel to it. The simple solos put an emphasis on the simple but amazing sound of this beautiful song. My personal favorite song of all time and of the Foo Fighters. I believe that this song is about the overdose and near death of the bands’ drummer, Taylor Hawkins, which only adds more meaning to the song. Also a song in the game “Rock Band”

3. Best of You (In Your Honor, 2005)

“This is a hard rock masterpiece of pure awesomeness. The slight note changes in the choruses and other parts make more that slight changes in the incredibleness of the song. About a personal experience this song also has great meaning, making it more powerful. (Tied with “The Pretender”)”

2. The Pretender (Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, 2007)

“I can’t decide between “The Pretender” and “Best of You” for this spot on the list so I just put “The Pretender” first. Personally the there is a tie between the two. This is a more hard rock song that starts out slow, quiet, and amazing. Then suddenly turns into a rock anthem with the hardcore power chords at the perfect times. Then it briefly goes back to the beginning sound and builds up the awesomeness of the next rocking refrain that finishes it up.”

1. Everlong (The Colour and the Shape, 1997)

“The amazingness of this is unexplainable, you never want it to end, it has shaped the band into the amazing band they are today, the amazing electric waves and Dave Grohl’s amazing voice, are just some of the many reasons why this is the best song by the Foo Fighters, and possibly the best song ever made, over the last 26 years that the Foo Fighters have been in existence, as of when I wrote this, this song will have a special place in my heart”
