10. Maverick (1992)

“Hank Jr. sings Cut Bank Montana in the closing credits and it is an interesting story of the eternal triangle – in this case two men and one woman and death of all three in a cabin fire as a result of a fight. Of course, this song is on Hank’s Maverick album along with Hotel Whiskey (with Clint Black),Come Over To The Country and Lyin’ Jukebox.”

9. Rowdy (1981)

“2 SONGS – “Ain’t Much More and “Are You Sure Hank Done it This Way?” are worth the price of this CD! “Ain’t Much More” with it’s New Orleans jazz horns and lyrics will make you smile. But beware,… the guitars on “Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way” will make you push your accelerator clean through the floorboard if you happen to be driving while listening!!!! HIGHLY addictive!”

8. Wild Streak (1988)

“This is possibly his finest recording and one which prompted me to examine some of his other offerings. I have lost count of the times I have put on the closing track (A brilliant cover of Skynyrd’s classic Tuesday’s Gone) and watch jaws drop when I reveal that the artist is non other than Hank Williams Jr.”

7. Out Of Left Field (1993)

“I love all of Hank jr’s material right from the early days to the present. The man cannot make a bad album & this 1 is no exception. Every song on the cd is awesome. DIAMOND MINE..IS the highlight on this cd,,,all the songs are more on the mellow side of Hank,,,,strong voice,,its a great addition to your Hank Jr Collection”

6. Major Moves (1984)

“This is one of my favorite Hank Jr. albums. It has the hits All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight. Which showed that he either had a whole different batch of rowdy friends. Or that they all haven’t quite settled down. The song Major Moves was a hit and shows that Hank is not all outlaw and attitude. It is a very good from the heart love song. And Attitude Adjustment was a hit also. “

5. The Bocephus Box: The Hank Williams Jr. Collection 1979-1992 (1992)

“This collection is good, but I think there should have been more hits and less of the album cuts.I did however like the outtakes on here though.”Waiting On The Tables To Turn”,an unreleased outtake from the “Rowdy” recording sessions,is a very good traditional country sounding tune. The other outtakes included are,”Mannish Boy”,unreleased recording from the “Wild Streak” sessions,”Wild Dogs” and Hank’s cover of “Secret Agent Man”,both unreleased recordings from the “Montana Cafe” sessions.”

4. Hank Williams, Jr. And Friends (1975)

“Quite a story behind this album, and I have been trying to get a copy for years. Loved it. It was something to go back to the beginning of what would become the Hank, Jr. phenomenon and realize how far he was able to take his talent! What I would not give to sit on the back porch and just talk and listen to the tales he could tell….”

3. Whiskey Bent And Hell Bound (1979)

“”Whiskey Bent & Hell Bound” definitely has some decent material on it, for sure. A tribute to Junior’s better days when his talent spoke for itself. Dang shame that Jr. had to go getting all political as he got older. Add his name to the list of musicians who think we give a hoot about their political views. “

2. The Pressure Is On (1981)

“. I love the mournful song that shares its title with the album, “The Pressure Is On” and “Mr. Weatherman” has a permanent place in my heart. I’m about to order this, as I’ve lost my copy and need to hear some *good* country music. Great album for any Hank Jr. fan.”

1. Habits Old And New (1980)

“Hank’s has always shown the influence of his father while being distinct from it. The influence is most obvious in the many covers of his father’s songs (albeit done in Junior’s own style) and the many songs that are, in one way or other, about his father. On this album, the family influence is stronger than ever. There are covers of Kaw-liga and Move it on over, while there are two songs about his father – The blues man and If you don’t like Hank Williams”
