Hit Like a Girl share new single ‘Only Have Myself’ from upcoming album ‘Burning at Both Ends’
Los Angeles-based project Hit Like a Girl has unveiled ‘Only Have Myself’, the second single from their upcoming fifth album Burning at Both Ends, due March 27, 2026 via Cryptid Records.
Led by Nicolle Maroulis (they/them), the track channels emotional turbulence into an urgent, genre-blending burst of indie rock and synth-laced alt-pop. Drawing from the tangled reality of a failed polyamorous relationship, ‘Only Have Myself’ is driven by piercing lyrics, dynamic guitar work, and a cathartic crescendo that sees Maroulis repeating the track’s title in a raw, final release of feeling.
Following last month’s haunting ‘Keepsake Theory’, the new single further showcases the album’s emotional range and sonic ambition, incorporating influences from midwest emo, power pop, and post-hardcore.
Burning at Both Ends marks the band’s most collaborative record yet, written alongside live members Mol White (they/them) and Mike Davis (he/they). With tour dates kicking off next month and No More Dysphoria Fest planned for March in Philadelphia, Hit Like a Girl are gearing up for a milestone year.
